“The Art of Inspiration” with Żabka Group. On convenience that goes hand in hand with responsibility.
Żabka Group has invited artists to join a conversation about the future of everyday life. Illustrator Rafał Szczepaniak and painter Jagoda Szymkowiak / YAGO created thirteen works inspired by Żabka Group’s modern convenience ecosystem, incorporating themes of responsible business and sustainability. Nine illustrations and four oil paintings interpret the key concepts of convenience and responsibility, presenting a vision of modern convenience as an experience embedded in urban lifestyles, technological advancement and growing consumer awareness. The works were unveiled on 27 May at an intimate vernissage in Warsaw’s Messalka, as part of the broader communication platform “Convenient and Responsible – for Everyone, Every Day.”

Today, convenience is one of the defining elements of modern lifestyles, with time becoming an increasingly valuable currency. At the same time, it is more often accompanied by reflection—on its nature, its impact and the way it affects the economy, the environment, communities and personal wellbeing. The “Art of Inspiration” project addresses these themes in an unconventional way, using the language of art—images, emotions and experiences. These interpretations accompany the fifth anniversary of Żabka Group’s Responsibility Strategy (ESG), the recently published Annual Report, including its sustainability disclosure, and a broader set of non-financial disclosures that present ambitions, results, risks and opportunities related to ESG in a more traditional format.
To explore what modern convenience means today—including both convenience and responsibility—Żabka Group invited two artists: Rafał Szczepaniak, an illustrator known for intelligent and surreal humour, and Jagoda Szymkowiak / YAGO, a painter and illustrator creating dynamic, expressive compositions. Their collaboration resulted in a series of thirteen works inspired by the ecosystem built by Żabka—from services and technology to everyday rituals, human relationships and more conscious, responsible choices.
Dimensions of responsibility and convenience
The initiative is part of the “Convenient and Responsible – for Everyone, Every Day” communication platform. As Żabka Group continues to develop its modern convenience ecosystem in Poland and internationally, it believes that convenience and responsibility can—and should—go hand in hand in everyday life. Practical, accessible solutions across food and services, both physical and digital, help consumers make more informed food choices, reduce food waste, engage with communities, fulfil daily needs and choose products and services with a lower environmental footprint. As a result, people can devote more time to what matters most—family, relationships, passions and rest.
“At Żabka Group, we consistently demonstrate that responsibility is not an addition to our business, but one of our core values and a way of operating, based on our Responsibility Strategy. We aim to create solutions that simplify everyday life while supporting people in making better and more conscious choices.
The ‘Convenient and Responsible. The Art of Inspiration’ initiative allows us to present this from a different perspective—not only through data and performance indicators, although these remain crucial to us—but also through emotions, imagination and artistic experience.” — Rafał Rudzki, Head of Sustainability, Żabka Group
“Non-financial ESG reporting helps structure facts—it presents goals, progress, measurable outcomes as well as risks and opportunities. It enables us to make decisions based on the best available data, while giving stakeholders transparency to assess our performance.
At the same time, communication around responsibility should not end with data tables and KPIs. ‘The Art of Inspiration’ complements this dialogue, adding another dimension—through art, we invite audiences into a broader conversation about convenience and responsibility.” — Katarzyna Średzińska, ESG Reporting Director, Żabka Group
The Art of Inspiration
The initiative opens up a new way for Żabka Group to engage with stakeholders by translating complex concepts into visual language—through colour, gesture, humour and everyday scenes, enhanced by a touch of imagination. “In brand communication, there is a well-known principle: people quickly forget what you said, but remember how you made them feel. By entrusting thirteen themes from its Responsibility Strategy to two artists, Żabka Group chose the latter approach. This is rare in corporate communication—because emotions cannot be planned in KPIs, yet they determine whether a message resonates or not.” — Paweł Tkaczyk, brand communication expert
Rafał Szczepaniak created nine illustrations where everyday life becomes slightly surreal yet remains recognisable. His characters operate in a world where convenience becomes an almost invisible infrastructure: coffee appears along the way, healthier choices require no effort, technology works seamlessly in the background, and circular behaviours become second nature.

Jagoda Szymkowiak / YAGO complemented the series with four oil paintings: In Motion, In the Element, In Liberated Time and Reaching for the Stars. Her works are dynamic, rich in colour, movement and hidden meanings—depicting everyday life not as routine, but as an emotionally vivid experience.
