    What's up with us?

Żabka has opened a logistics centre in Kąty Wrocławskie!

    - Efficient logistics is like the mechanism of a precision watch, in which every tiniest component must fulfil its role and add up to a well-functioning whole. It is this precision that underpins the dynamic growth of our organisation. By opening close to a thousand new stores a year, we can scale our operations effectively without sacrificing the highest standards of quality and efficiency. From the customers' perspective, this means they can be sure to find what they need on the shelves - always on time. It's also our advantage to respond quickly to changing market needs. Efficient logistics also responds to the real needs of franchisees, supporting them in the day-to-day running of their business and providing a reliable operational base – says  Adam Manikowski, EVP, Managing Director of Żabka Polska.

    Ecology and modern solutions

The logistics centre, located just off the A4 motorway, is a semi-automated facility - combining modern technology with the work of qualified specialists. At the heart of the warehouse are three modern zones: an automated cold store (with an area of 5,000 square metres), a freezer (with an area of 1,500 square metres) and a dry zone (with an area of 17,000 square metres). By supplying nearly 1.5 thousand stores in the region of Wrocław and its surroundings, the warehouse will partly relieve the logistics centre in Komorniki, as the completion of all refrigeration and freezing orders for stores located in Lower Silesia capital's region shifts to Kąty Wrocławskie.

Żabka's new in-house infrastructure facility features several pro-environmental innovations, such as a photovoltaic installation, electric car chargers, and a refrigeration and freezing installation that uses the heat generated by the production of cold to heat the freezer floor and for hot water preparation in the main office building.

    Support for the region

The eighth Żabka store will strengthen the chain's operational potential and boost the local labour market. Nearly 600 people will find employment in the just-opened facility - those employed directly by Żabka and cooperating companies. With a view to employees commuting from Wrocław, a transport service has been set up, enabling convenient and efficient access to the logistics centre.

Positions currently offered at the logistics centre include forklift operators, warehouse employees and logistics specialists.

Żabka's logistics network currently includes eight logistics centres and 19 transhipment terminals, including 2 of its own, from which goods are distributed to stores throughout Poland. Modern solutions enable efficient service of over 9,000 franchisees running more than 11,000 stores, to which about 3 million deliveries are made annually.
